Creating and Sharing Lists
Getting Started
You must be logged in to create lists. Click Login in the navigation bar to sign in with your Google account.
Creating a List
- Navigate to My Lists from the navigation menu
- Click New List
- Fill in the form:
- Name: Give your list a descriptive title (e.g., "Best Cultivation Novels")
- Description: Optional summary of what the list contains
- Visibility: Choose who can see your list
- Public: Anyone can find and view
- Unlisted: Only accessible via direct link
- Click Create List
Adding Items to a List
- Go to your list and click Edit
- Use the dropdown menus to select a Book or Series to add
- Optionally add a Note explaining why you included this item
- Click Add Item
Items appear in the order they were added. Each item shows the book/series title, author, and your note if provided.
Editing a List
From your list view, click Edit to:
- Change the list name or description
- Update visibility settings
- Add or remove items
Sharing a List
Public Lists
Public lists can be shared using their URL. Anyone can view them by visiting the link.
Unlisted Lists
Unlisted lists have a private share token. Share using the token URL - anyone with the link can view the list, but it won't appear in search results.
Deleting a List
- Go to your list and click Edit
- Scroll to the bottom and click Delete List
- Confirm the deletion
Warning: Deleting a list is permanent and cannot be undone.
Tips
- Use descriptive names so others can find your lists
- Add notes to explain why each book made your list
- Group related books into themed lists (e.g., "Completed Series", "Hidden Gems")
- Share unlisted links for private recommendations to friends
